Welcome to Tannheimer Tal
Situated in one of the most central Alpine areas of Austria the development has started of our newest and latest project: Almresort Tannheim. Only a few steps away from the Neunerköpfle cable car which gives access to the small ski area of Tannheim. The other ski areas in the same region are only a few kilometers away and are the best recipe for a cosy and relaxed great day of skiing.
In 2019 the Tannheim Tal was awarded the title of “Austria’s most beautiful hiking region 2019”. The region is not only very popular for its winter sports activities, but also very well known for its hiking and biking possibilities in summer.
The village of and area around Tannheim still have the great alpine feeling which is very characteristic and has remained typical Austrian throughout the years. Alternatively to the wonderful in-house gastronomy, there are several options for dining out and having a drink in Tannheim.
Also up on the mountain there are several options for eating and drinking. Several cosy mountain cabins that serve food and drinks are in the vicinity of Tannheim. Let’s also not forget that the journey towards Tannheim is breath taking. When driving in from the north the mountains and views are just suddenly there. When driving in from the south the roads and views are one of the most spectacular in the region, and are a destination by itself.
Winter in Tannheim
The ski area of Tannheim in Tyrol is just across the German/Austrian border. The Tannheimer Tal is beautiful and long stretched. The ski area is divided up into several smaller ski areas. The Tannheimer Tal is perfect for families, it is cosy and nice to be. The smaller ski areas are the perfect starting place for kids to learn their first skiing skills. The ski pistes are perfect for families and beginners. You will find peace and quiet on the pistes. Next to skiing, the Tannheimer Tal is perfect for cross-country skiing activities and hiking in the snow.
The Tannheimer Tal can be reached very easily in winter time. Tannheim is located just across the German border and is therefore very easy to reach for Dutch guests.
The winter sports season usually starts mid-december and ends mid-april, depending on the snow conditions. The lowest point lies at 1,090 meters and the highest point lies at 1,821 meters. The total stretch of ski pistes is 43 km which is divided up into bleu (16 km), red (22 km) and black (5 km). Most of the ski pisted are situated on the north side of the mountains.
Summer in Tannheim
Breath-taking mountain views offer a warm welcome to the Tannheimer Tal. Get ready for an early start at dawn.
The cable car, situated next to the Almresort, will take one to the top of the mountain. There, an endless stretch of hiking pleasure awaits you, perfectly suited for family hikes or multi-day hiking.
Climb onto one of the mountain peaks of have a relaxing walk along one of the many mountain lakes, through the woods or along the fast flowing creeks.
The best reward ever awaits you: on of the most beautiful and stunning panoramic views of the surrounding mountains in the Tannheimer Tal region, or if the timing is just right, with powder coated mountain peaks!
With a really large stretch of biking kilometers, the Tannheimer Tal is an Eldorado for (E-)bikers. Exciting single trails, beautiful trails that lie high above and deep in the valleys.
Downhill parcours, a bike park, off-roading, all is possible and available for the bike enthousiast. Also, when one requires a little bit of assistence then E-bikes are also available in Tannheim.
